Skull Isle - Environment Art Asset

The Skull Isle is a pirate's lair, inspired by pirate stories and locales such as the Skull Rock from Peter Pan. I wanted to create something in my style, pushing my abilities as a 3D artist.

Sculpt was created in Nomad Sculpt, base mesh is around 6 million polygons. Retopo was done in CozyBlanket. The asset was then brought into Blender for unwrapping before being put into Substance painter for texture work. The "teeth" and additional rocks were also created using the same workflow.

The final set dressed render was staged in Unreal Engine. Using additional detailing with rock debris to create visual interest.

The water shader used is the Cartoon Water Shader from the Unreal Marketplace.
